Q: What is the Bulky Item Collection Program?
A: It is a residential curbside pick-up service that the City provides by appointment for the
special collection of bulky items in tandem with the in-house trash and collection service
for residential customers.


Q: How many items can be scheduled for pick-up?
A: You may request a maximum of four (4) large items for each scheduled pickup (to
consist of two metal and two non-metal items), and up to ten (10) bundles of wood, tree
limbs, or rolls of carpet.


Q: What type of bulky items can I put at the curbside?
A: A bulky item is defined as a large item such as a refrigerator, stove, or dresser.
Additionally, the City considers the following items to be scheduled as a single item:
table and chairs, washer and dryer, sofa and love seat. The City does not accept
hazardous waste materials, such as paint, paint thinners, tires, hypodermic needles, motor
oil, pesticides or herbicides.


Q: Who can request a bulky item pick-up?
A: Only residents, including multi-family residents, with current in-house trash collection
service are eligible to schedule a bulky item pick-up.


Q: How much does a bulky item pick-up cost?
A: Six requests per household per calendar year, each limited one per bi-monthly billing
cycle will be provided to you at no charge. Each additional bulky item pick-up requested
within a billing cycle during the calendar year will be provided for a charge of $25.00
(per unit of service). The Bulky Item pick-up charge will be billed on the next regular
statement of services under Solid Waste Charges.


Q: How do I schedule a bulky item pick-up?
A: Contact Customer Service at (909) 620-2241. A customer service representative will
schedule the pick-up on your regular trash collection. Place the item(s) on the curb the
night before or no later than 5:00 a.m. on the date scheduled. Please note that there is a
maximum capacity, and preference will be given to early callers.


Q: Are all items picked up at the same time?
A: No. One truck will pick up the metal items and another truck will pick up the non-metal
items.


Q: What time doe the items need to be placed at the curb?
A: All items should be placed curbside by 6:00 a.m. on your scheduled pick up day. Please
leave items out until 4:00 p.m.

available to schedule items for pick-up Monday through Thursday between 7:30 a.m. to 6:00
