Equipment Maintenance

  • The Equipment Maintenance Division provides complete maintenance and repair to City vehicles and equipment by efficiently and effectively operating as a self-supporting internal service fund.  The program provides service, maintenance and repair to City fleet by having a scheduled maintenance program.  This program insures a safe fleet of trucks and trailers on the road by performing and completing all mandated inspections prior to the due dates on the City's heavy-duty trucks and trailers per California Highway Patrol and the Department of Transportation specification.

Facilities Maintenance & Repair

  • The Facility Maintenance Program is responsible for the structural and physical maintenance of all City-owned facilities which include: City Hall, Library, Regional Transit Center & Metrolink, and the Corporation/Water Yards Complex.
  • Maintenance includes custodial services, repair, and alteration of City-owned facilities on a day-to-day basis and/or as the situation warrants. This includes preventive maintenance service and major equipment replacement of 900 tons of air conditioning equipment and 8,230,000 BTU's of heating and domestic hot water systems, electrical systems and plumbing equipment. It also includes roof repairs, painting, plumbing work, sandblasting, installation of equipment as needed, and electrical repairs.
  • This program is also responsible for overseeing major office and building renovations, assisting outside contractors (telephone, computer and data) and assists with furniture assembly throughout City Hall.
